Those who are rarely rejected can't stand being rejected, and are usually not bothered if not consoled when they react to rejections, while
those who are frequently rejected wouldn't bother to react to rejections, but are always considered to be rude when they do react.
I really do wonder if one's impression is based on appearance or attitude?
