Ignorance is not bliss

Occasionally you come across constructive views on the internet:

"Science and religion must coexist as long as human beings exist."
"Atheists will tell you God doesn't exist because scientific methods doesn't provide factual information for God's existence."
"Theists will tell you God does exist beyond our human comprehension."

"Agnostics acknowledge that through the scientific methods we have learned much about our understanding of the universe.
Doesn't mean we know everything. There is still much to learn.
Through that ignorance we find purpose to continue exploring this universe and just maybe we may find ourselves in front of a creator when we do."

Personally,
I believe there is still way more to be learnt than imagined.
Ignorance is not bliss, it's irresponsible.

Only human

In a world where political and emotional correctness is magnified,
leaving no room for errors albeit an honest one,

even the most rational minds may one day crumble under duress,
from societal pressures to hypercriticisms,

into irrationality.

Dunning-Kruger effect

You’d think people who teaches you with such confidence are experts in their field,
but they might just be someone with just a tad more ability than you.

They might know enough to answer you now, but not enough to guide you further,
while those that hide in plain sight might even be able to offer more insight.

We thank them nonetheless.

Stages of life

When you're young, you get people wanting to help you kick start,
but they won't be able to push you further; you needed the determination.

But when you're older, you'll realised you couldn't get anyone to help you when you have nothing to work with,
but there will be many that would be glad to help you towards the end; all you need is initiative.

You will come to realise the norm in these different stages of life: people that are tasked to help couldn't; people that could doesn't have the luxury of time.

Give & Take

Life is strange,
It gives and it takes.

Sometimes it takes things you're starting to appreciate,
sometimes it gives things that you no longer crave.

How are we to know what we could take,
when all the right things should happen at the wrong time?
For if you have given the best you could,
it would then be all up to fate.

Be direct

No one will have the same thoughts as you.
no one will be able to walk in your shoes.

If you want the message to be passed across,
you've got to say it out,
you've got to be direct.

Saying it out doesn't mean requesting for something,
it doesn't mean you're not willing to listen,
but it is one side of bridging and communicating with another

Unless you're willing to let go of what you believe is true,
or whether you're doubtful in what you think is right.

P.S. Insert elements of tolerance and compassion as well.

Good picture

I've come to realize that

the people you need to keep around you

are the ones who can take a good picture out of you.

Because

they're the ones who would put in the time and mind,

they're the ones who really care.

Worst feeling

The worst feeling one could get is not the fear of death,

but loneliness,

the feeling that you have no one to go to,

the isolation that puts you right next to death itself.

What is the purpose of life without the ability to communicate with another being?

Mistakes

Have you ever been told you have made a mistake?

Well, for starters,
It is not up to them to decide.

A mistake only happens when you disagree to, or dislike your own actions.

It might be because of yourself,
or have an effect on someone or something you cared about,
which have made you regret your actions.

But eventually, it is up to your own decision,
and not to blame it on others,
on whether what you did was a mistake.

Ignorance

Knowledge,

Not everyone wants to live never satisfied on learning;

some are satisfied with enough;
some are, with non at all.

I'll just have to respect that choice.

Dilemma

What do you call that something when you think you would like to

return to somewhere in the past

but in the same time,

satisfied with where you are right now

Both, unsure of what they will turn out eventually if you pick either?

On the horns of Dilemma

Or shall I take the smooth 3rd option? Ignorance.
The best option for the near future might not reflect the best beyond that.

Circumstances

I think,

Love can only be truly seen when everything is not going in one's favour but they still stick it up till the end.

But where is the end?

I think,

Till a point where one realized that the habit of such unfavourability becomes too big of a burden to bear, it'll snap and fade.

Don't force it.

Need & Want

to say what one need to hear?
or
to say what one want to hear?

the inconvenient truth or the comforting lie?

although we live in a realistic world,
but sometimes what we need to hear what we want to hear for a change,
to retain that little drop of confidence in everything we do.

and that's what's keeping the powerful being powerful, the rich being rich

P.S I fail to notice that, I'm so sorry.

Technology

  • "Technology is / is not meant to relieve human of their limitations and ease the uncomfort"

  • '"Technology is/ is not there to constantly remind us of the determination observed in the people in the past, and the burden, the labour they have to be committed in due to the lack of an easier, simpler solution."

Alone

There's only 2 pre-requisite to being lonely,

"You can't live up to the expectations of others"

or/and

"Others can't live up to your expectations"

yet ......

Destiny

Sometimes, we tend to not accept the fact that everything has been set in place.

Fate's a bitch!

It's true that you need to work hard to achieve,
but some things are
not for you to decide
not for you to organize
not for you to design.

For starters, we aren't the genius that could mastermind every cause and effect that's happening around us.
Rather than to put the blame on some other party, either innocent or guilty,

Let's make the best out of the current situation,
and be wise on future decision making.

Equilibria

We all know what thermal equilibrium is,

So I came up with this weird theory: Personality equilibrium

"The interchange of character and personality between two individual until both individual have identical traits, provided that both individuals does not interact with anything else."

So who's in charged of who you are, your genes? or your actions?

The Road Not Taken

Have you ever thought about?
The intersecting points in life and the important decisions that followed.

What if? I chose 'this' instead of 'that',
or 'that' instead of 'this'?
What would it be like then?

Though there's no right nor wrong,
only regrets or satisfaction,

I'd do wonder,
where would I be in the parallel universes?

The one I'd never have the chance to discover through my unmade choices.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

- (Stanza 4: Line 3)

Changes to Success

In a less desirable position,

You need to be willing to make positive changes
in order to succeed.

The fear for discomfort will be faced upon no matter what,
the difference would only be:  SOONER? or LATER?

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

Anais Nin

Be Yourself

"If you'd like the ugly side of mine,
then I'm perfect for you."

Make sense?

What if what I presumed to be my ugly side would be pretty for you,
but what I presumed to be my pretty side turns out to be ugly?

Be yourself.
